It’s the start of a new year, 2016.
A new year is like a new beginning on a blank slate and we can do with it whatever we like. Often we have great ideas and plans (Yah go you) but as we get back into it, these may seem to fizzle out, and get lost by the end of the month or before we even get started.
But hey, hang in there and stay motivated and make 2016 the most awesome year it can be?
Make your intentions for the year. Make them feel challenging and exciting. Envisioning your intentions, how it will look and feel, and how you will benefit, makes them come alive. Scheduling them, makes them real.
Breaking the year into bite sized pieces works for me. I set my goals for the year. I look at the actions I can take over the next three months, and then I make weekly goals, and steps I can take right now.
Remember goals should feel challenging and exciting, envision how you will feel when your goals are reached.
YES!!
Check out my Ultimate Goal Setting Guide so you can schedule your intentions for the year.
What else will help you reach your goals?
Select a couple of priorities and work with them to start with.
Start with small steps, make them manageable and not too scary.
Write them down, and revisit them weekly.
See any challenge or failure as part of the process, part of the learning, and look for good things that fall out of these experiences.
“If you fail, try, try again, “
Be flexible and be curious about what may come along. Take opportunities when they come your way.
Finally, share your goals, have someone to be accountable to. A lifecoach www.jorobertson.co.nz or mentor at work, so you can review and discuss progress.
Best wishes for 2016.
You are going to rock this year.
